Benevolence
Our Benevolence Ministry is dedicated to sharing God’s love by meeting the practical needs of individuals and families in our local community. From providing food, clothing, and school supplies to assisting the elderly, shut-ins, and those facing difficult circumstances, this ministry seeks to serve wherever there is a need. Whether offering a helping hand with household tasks, providing basic necessities, or supporting someone through a challenging season, our mission is to demonstrate God’s love through compassion, generosity, and acts of service. Through this ministry, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors and remind them that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

This morning we were blessed to be a part of God’s work and those that trust in the Lord. Earlier this year Latarah was living in her car when the engine quit, and the car was no longer viable. Heritage helped house her for a time during the heat of the summer until she could get temporary housing. She started working full-time again, but a car was out of reach. During this time, Latarah never gave up and was truly an inspiration as she frequently said that this is in God’s time and He will not forsake me.
Through much prayer and resources, we discovered Mechanics on a Mission, a faith-based organization that gifts cars to individuals in need. Heritage agreed to sponsor Latarah, and several Heritage folks agreed to assist with the sponsorship fee. Her application was submitted in July, and this morning was a day of rejoicing and answered prayers as she received the keys to her car at Cody’s Automotive, a faith-based mechanics shop that works alongside Mechanics on a Mission. This was the 300th car given away by Mechanics on a Mission in 4 years.
It was truly a joy to be with the people from these organizations to celebrate Latarah’s gift.
