Volunteers on the prayer line team each keep an hour a week to answer calls from anyone who needs someone to pray with them.

Only members of the church's prayer line volunteer team. We don't send texts to the public or to people who call the prayer line, and we never send marketing or fundraising messages.
Who gets these texts

- An alert when someone calls during a volunteer's hour and no one is able to answer, so the volunteer can listen to any message and return the call.
- Occasional scheduling notices, such as an hour that needs someone to cover it.
What we send

Texts are off until a volunteer turns them on. The first time a volunteer signs in to One Hour at onehour.heritagecoc.org with their church Planning Center account, they see the screen below. It shows the cell number on file and the terms. Texts start only after the volunteer checks the box and taps Turn on text alerts. They can also choose Not now and turn alerts on later.

- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. You'll get one confirmation, then no more texts.
- Reply START to turn alerts back on.
- Reply HELP for help, or email the church office at office@heritagecoc.org.
- Volunteers can also turn text alerts off or on at any time in One Hour.
We use your cell number only to send One Hour prayer line alerts. Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in information are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
